At Covad, we stand by our promise of uncompromising quality by providing SLAs on our business-class services. These guarantees mean that you can focus your attention on your business and not worry about your Internet connection.
- Fast installation time guarantee—Why wait? Get your high-speed connection installed at your business location within 30 calendar days of placing your order or we will credit 50% of your first month's service fee.
- Service availability guarantee¹—Service guarantee availability of 99.9%, or a credit equal to one day of service for every hour of downtime beyond our guarantee. In the event of a service outage, we guarantee restoration within 24 hours, or you will be eligible for a credit equal to 10% of your monthly service fee.¹
- Average network delivery and delay¹—This is to further prove that Covad has confidence in the performance of our network.
- Data delivery—99.9% successful delivery of all data packets sent from your location over the Covad network, or you will be eligible for a credit of up to 10% of your monthly service fee.

Other Computer Equipment
In most cases, you will not need to add or change any computer equipment other than the DSL modem, unless you have an older PC that does not come with an Ethernet network interface card. Most new computers include an Ethernet network card. If you have an older computer, a card can be purchased to enable the Ethernet capability on your computer. You can purchase one at any computer store.
Note: Covad does not install Ethernet network cards during the installation process; you must have a 10Base-T or better Ethernet network card installed and working prior to self-installation or arrival of the Covad technician.
IP Addressing
For your business network, you can have:
- A single public IP address that identifies your business, with multiple private addresses (addresses not available outside of your business, NAT)
- A unique Internet address for every computer on your network

- Five static IP addresses

TeleSpeed Extended Coverage Area Services (ECA)
Covad offers its customers uninterrupted service in Covad's extended coverage areas through partnerships with a variety of service providers. Some aspects of ECA services differ from the Covad standard services.
- Pricing may be different
- SLAs not available for delays, service availability, or time to repair (TTR)
- Only the Efficient (Siemens) CPE is available with ECA services. The customer-provided CPE option will not be available with ECA services.
- While customers can still access SMART, not all functionality will be available, and some information might not be updated in real time.
- ECA services will be installed by a Covad partner and not a Covad technician.
